Vice-Chairman of Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption visits Open Almaty

As part of a working trip to Almaty, Olzhas Bektenov, Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Public Service and Anti-Corruption Affairs, familiarized himself with the activities of a number of state bodies and visited new projects of the city opened by the «Almaty-Adaldyk Alaiy» project office.

During his working visit to Almaty, Olzhas Bektenov visited the Open Almaty Public Reception, where all city services are concentrated. The aim of the project is to solve the life situations of citizens and the quality of state services.

This project has been successfully implemented since 2017 and is popular among the population. Today, Almaty's experience is being successfully relayed to other regions of the country.

«Open Almaty is an important tool in improving efficiency, transparency and accountability of state agencies, helping to reduce corruption risks in working with the population,» Olzhas Bektenov said.

The Vice-President then became acquainted with the work of the «Adaldyk duken» integrity store, which opened in the Central Mosque, as well as with the «Cashbox without a seller» in the «Jubileinyi» supermarket.

«Imams of all mosques in the city regularly raise anti-corruption issues during the sermon to the population and make a significant contribution to the formation of an anti-corruption culture,» said Yerkinbek Shokai, Chief imam of the Central Mosque.

At the end of the working visit, Olzhas Bektenov familiarized himself with the activities of the first and so far the only passenger service center in the country of Almaty-2 station.

«Undoubtedly, the implementation of such projects is aimed at nurturing high moral qualities among young people, namely integrity, honesty and self-development,» the Vice-Chairman concluded.
